The Millennial Falcon Lego Robotics Team at the Middle School won 1st Place for Most Innovative Solution in the Northern Nevada First Lego League Championships. We were also invited to submit our project for review for the First Lego League Global Innovation Award - we hope to know if we have been selected around April 23rd. 20 Teams will be chosen with potential for $20,000 first place prize or 2nd and 3rd will receive $5,000 award. |

2018 Scholastic Arts Awards Middle school prizes: 4 gold key winners, 7 silver key winners and 12 honorable mentions. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation's longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7-12. Last year, across the US, students submitted more than 330,000 works of visual art and writing to the Scholastic Awards; more than 90,000 works were recognized at the regional level and celebrated in local exhibitions and ceremonies. |
